If The Kaiser Came to Kintbury

“I mean it Dad, I’m nineteen years old and I’ve done nothing good with my life so far! This is my chance and it’s my duty. I mean, there’s no telling what Fritz will do next. Think about it; what if the Kaiser came to Kintbury?”

Come back in time with us to 1914 to what was then the brand new Coronation Hall as we commemorate the story of World War 1 through the eyes of an ordinary Kintbury family.

Members of Kintbury Players and St. Mary’s Drama Group have joined forces to tell this very human tale enlivened by the work of the Great War poets and songs of the time – so dust off your vocal chords!

Seating will be at tables of 8 people with a wartime snack being served in the interval.

Date: Performances 20,21,22nd November 2014

Time: 7.30pm

Place: Coronation Hall, Kintbury

Why not book your tickets (£10 each) as a group from Bastable Brothers Butchers, Church Street, Kintbury and why not dress up in the style of the day (a prize will be awarded for the best dressed table)? There will also be a licensed bar!
